ABOUT ME

“Someday I’ll pick up a brush and paint my feelings.”

Hello there!

I am a contemporary realist painter based in Canada, specialising in creating compelling human and pet portraits using charcoal and soft pastels. Additionally, I have a deep passion for painting birds with watercolours. My artistic journey began in 2013 as a freelancer,  and over the years, I have taken on numerous commissioned portrait projects and found homes for my birds and abstract paintings.

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the idea of reinventing the world around me on paper, so I started to draw very early in my life. Pursuing my passion, I attended an Art and Animation College, where I explored different mediums, art styles, and subjects. As I was primarily drawn to realism and portraiture, artists like Artist Casey Baugh, Dirk Dzimirsky, and David Kassan became my wellsprings of inspiration.  Post-college, I balanced a job with a commitment to refining my portrait drawing skills. I have also served as an independent full-time art instructor for three years. Currently, I am cultivating a deep affinity for pet portraiture.

Despite venturing into digital and fluid paintings, as well as wedding and graphic designing professionally, my true devotion lies in traditional Fine Art.

My ultimate dream is to invest more time in honing a distinctive artistic style and creating emotionally resonant pieces.
