    Discuss options for receiving the completed artwork.

The artwork pricing is influenced by factors such as:

  • Size: Larger portraits will cost more due to the increased time and materials.
  • Medium: Different art mediums ( e.g., charcoal, pastels, watercolors) come with varying costs.
  • Complexity: Elaborate backgrounds or intricate elements may incur additional charges.
  • Number of Subjects: Each additional subject in the portrait will result in extra charges.
  • Framing: Opting for framing will incur added costs for materials and labor.
  • Shipping and Handling: Charges will apply if the portrait needs to be packed and shipped to a specific location.

During the initial consultation, depending on your requirement,  a personalized quote will be provided, including details on pricing, estimated timelines, and any required deposits. 

The time required to complete a commissioned portrait can vary based on factors such as the size, medium, complexity, and my current workload. The completion timelines may span from weeks to months, and we can address your particular needs or deadlines in our initial discussion for proper accommodation.

Yes, I do offer discounts for multiple portraits or group commissions. The specific discount and terms can vary depending on the number of portraits or the complexity of the project.

  • Multiple Portraits: Commissioning more than one portrait ( e.g., family members and pets) attracts an overall cost discount. 
  • Group Commissions: Discounts for artworks featuring multiple subjects (e.g., family or team portraits) are offered.

I understand that sometimes circumstances may require a change in plans. Here’s how I handle cancellations or rescheduling of commissioned portrait projects:

  • Cancellations: If you cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, the entire booking is refunded. The booking amount will be charged in case of any cancellations after 24 hours of placing the booking. 

  • Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule the project due to unforeseen circumstances, please reach out to discuss the situation. I will do my best to accommodate your new timeline and work with you to adjust the project schedule accordingly.

To create a portrait, I will need the following information from you:

Reference Photos: High-resolution images of the subject from different angles and in good lighting.

Below are some examples:

  • Details about the Subject: Any specific characteristics, features, or details you want to highlight in the portrait.
  • Vision and Preferences: Your vision for the portrait, preferred medium, and any specific requirements you may have.

To confirm your commission, an initial 50% deposit is required. Once the deposit is received and the commission agreement is signed, your spot will be secured in my schedule, and the portrait creation process will begin according to the agreed-upon timeline.

Specifics, including costs and delivery times, will be outlined in your personalized quotation.

  • Costs: This will be determined by your location,  artwork size, and frame weight (if applicable).
  • Physical Artwork:  The artwork will be carefully packaged to avoid damage.
  • Communication: Regular updates and tracking info will be provided to you.

 

The choice between independent and custom framing is yours. I’m here to assist and guide you in making the best choice.

  • Independent Framing: The offered artwork sizes are compatible with commonly available frames. Receive the unframed artwork, and handle framing yourself or choose to have it framed according to your preference. ( Recommended, especially for shipping purposes.)
  • Custom Framing: Opt for professional framing with assistance in selecting a custom frame for enhanced presentation, and arrangements for the framing process will be taken care of.

The delivery method depends on your personal preferences. We’ll discuss the options during the initial consultation, but feel free to go through the options here:

  • Digital File: Receive a high-resolution digital file for online sharing, printing, or archiving.
  • Physical Painting: Have the traditional artwork carefully packaged and shipped to your location (shipping charges apply).
  • Framing and Presentation: Discuss framing options, and I can arrange for delivery with framing (additional costs apply). 
  • Local Pickup: Arrange for in-person collection if you’re nearby or prefer local pickup.

Yes, you can certainly request a digital copy or prints of the commissioned portrait.  Here’s how this typically works:

  • Digital Copy: Request a high-resolution digital file for various uses like social media, printing, or archiving. This would be free of cost.
  • Prints: Options for physical prints, including fine art, canvas, or traditional photo prints. Additional charges may apply based on size, quality, and quantity.
  • Framing: If you choose to frame the prints, framing costs will be included, with options tailored to your preferences.
  • Shipping: For physical prints, expect associated shipping costs, varying based on destination and chosen shipping method.

Caring for and preserving the painting is important to ensure its longevity. Here are some essential tips for maintaining your portrait:

  • Framing:  Proper framing not only enhances the presentation but also provides protection from dust and physical damage.
  • Display Location: Choose a suitable location for displaying the artwork. Avoid direct sunlight, and extreme humidity, as these can damage the artwork over time.
  • Storage: If you need to store the artwork for an extended period, keep it in a cool, dry, and dark place. Ensure that it’s protected from potential bending or creasing during storage.
  • Avoid Touching: Minimize touching the artwork with your hands, as natural oils and moisture from your skin can transfer to the surface and affect the colors and materials over time.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the artwork for any signs of damage, discoloration, or other issues. Early detection allows for timely intervention and preservation.

In the rare event that the portrait arrives damaged due to shipping or handling, please notify me immediately. I will guide you through the process of documenting the damage with photographs, and we can then arrange for a replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances.

The beginning stage of the portrait creation process involves receiving your approval to ensure it is aligned with your vision and expectations. Here’s how the process typically works:

  • Receive and Review:  After the outline drawing of the subject is complete, you will be provided with a high-resolution image of the line drawing.
  • Feedback: If you have any feedback or suggestions at this stage, please feel free to provide them.
  • Adjustments: I will make necessary adjustments based on your feedback to ensure the drawing meets your expectations.
  • Approval: Once the adjustments are made and approved, I shall proceed with the rendering process to add the details.

Artworks labelled ‘Available’ in my gallery are ready for purchase. Simply use the contact form to send a message with the art title, and I will promptly provide you with the details.

As of now, I only sell originals.
